We are here to bridge the gap between the old and the young.
ABAN is a think and action tank created by young people for young people with the aim of making the world a better place for them. ABAN is here to bridge the gap between the old and the young. It provides a unique platform for young people to engage in the exchange of ideas on issues which concerns them through discourse and discussion, promoting and suggesting policy alternatives to enable the sustainable development of Ghana and Africa. We are composed of young researchers and leaders ready to help solve challenges that confront Ghana and the continent at large and to drive development.
Why is it Necessary?
According to the UN, Africa has the youngest population in the world, with a median age of 19.5 years. Young people in Africa between the ages of 15 and 35 constitute one-third of Africa’s population. It is therefore evident that the future of Africa is linked to having an educated, skilled and politically active youthful population that is involved in decision making processes and providing decision makers with high quality research on key issues affecting young people.
OUR VISION
